Guidelines for the BOMA Lunch and Learn Program: Providing Educational Seminars on Property Management Topics

The BOMA Lunch and Learn program offers informative, mealtime seminars on property management topics. The committee selects topics based on information provided by presenters or committee members. The goal is to provide a property management perspective on the chosen subject matter.

The program’s objectives may include one or more of the following:

  • Top 10 things to know about the subject matter
  • Legislative changes related to the topic
  • Changes to the topic in the past 2-5 years
  • Importance of the topic to enhance job performance
  • Executive summary of the topic

Additionally, the committee aims to respond promptly to market changes. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the committee provided eight educational seminars to the membership to offer specific and detailed information for property managers to guide their decisions.

Please note that the Lunch and Learn seminars are not a platform for company promotion. Although opportunities exist to highlight your company, the main objective is to educate the membership. The program typically offers 4-8 seminars per year, depending on chapter and membership needs.

If you wish to present an educational topic, please submit it to the committee members or BOMA staff for consideration. Please explain why the topic is significant to the membership and the specific information you will cover. Additionally, if you have a presentation, including it in the submission can aid the committee in making an informed decision.
