Local & State

California’s eight local Building Owners and Managers Associations are unified under BOMA California, to testify on legislative issues that affect the commercial real estate industry with greater authority. Up to five elected members of each local association serve on the BOMA California Board of Directors, and one elected officer from each association sits on BOMA California’s Executive Committee. This formula ensures that every BOMA member in California has a voice in the setting of policies of BOMA California.

BOMA monitors and lobbies pertinent legislative, regulatory and codes/standards issues. BOMA International Advocacy, Codes and Standards Division works with volunteer committees to develop policy positions on issues important to the commercial real estate industry, and BOMA International Government Affairs Committee handles federal policy issues. All advocacy-related committee meetings (with the exception of the Industry Defense Fund) are open to all BOMA members.

BOMA Orange County PAC

BOMA Orange County Political Action Committee (PAC) serves as BOMA’s local political fundraising vehicle to support the election efforts of members of the California legislature that exhibit support for the commercial real estate industry or hold a position with key influence over BOMA’s central initiatives.

BOMA Orange County Political Action Committee (PAC) improves the influence of the government on the commercial real estate industry. BOMA Orange County PAC operates: (1) to promote and strive for the improvement of government by encouraging and stimulating persons affiliated with BOMA to take a more active part in governmental affairs; (2) to encourage persons affiliated with BOMA to know and understand the nature and actions of the government, important political issues, and the records of office holders and candidates; and (3) to do what is necessary to appropriate to attain these purposes.

Please check out the BOMA Orange County PAC's "News Bites" to stay informed and up-to-date regarding current issues.

*The BOMA OC PAC and Governmental Affairs Committee is always open to having new members join and participate. If you are interested in joining the committee please contact us or the BOMA OC office for direction.

BOMA International PAC

BOMA International PAC serves as BOMA’s federal political fundraising vehicle to support the reelection efforts of members of the U.S. Congress that exhibit support for the commercial real estate industry or hold a position with key influence over BOMA’s central initiatives.

BOMA Interntional's PAC enables BOMA's advocacy team to raise money to re-elect political candidates for federal office who know and understand – and support – real estate’s issues.
