Learn how to win a TOBY.  Peggy will be summarizing and reviewing the 8 criteria that a building at its management team will be evaluated on during the judging process.  Peggy will also be discussing changes that have occurred to the TOBY process due to COVID.  She will also share some of her insights on how to make this easier for your teams and how you can invest your time wisely. “Some industry awards address singular accomplishments in commercial real estate such as sustainability, recycling, energy or design.  BOMA’s TOBY takes broader approach, looking to see the best in class for  in all characteristics of commercial property and its management,” Peggy says.

Peggy Sanchez serves as Managing Director for RiverRock Real Estate Group in Newport Beach, CA. The commercial real estate veteran demonstrates leadership in all she does, making a difference where she works, within the industry at large, with the next generation of CRE professionals and through her commitment to supporting CASA.

Sanchez brings 35 years of diversified and innovative commercial property management experience to the RiverRock team. She spearheads the firm’s Rock U educational and training programs, providing valuable information on trends and issues affecting the commercial real estate industry. She is a resource to all managers, and offers training to help develop their skills as a property manager.

Sanchez has served on the BOMA Board of Directors since 1990. She served as president of BOMA in 1993, 1999, 2000, and 2009. Since 2009, Peggy has been an instructor for BOMA, teaching “The Foundations of Real Estate.” She has received eight BOMA TOBY Awards for excellence in building management on a local, regional and international level along with the BOMA 360 Performance Excellence and Energy star awards.
