The governor of California signed an order on Thursday afternoon that reverses last week’s Cal/OSHA Board decision to maintain a workplace mask mandate.
Going forward, only unvaccinated workers are required to wear a mask while in a workplace. The verification of a worker’s vaccination is up to the employer. The state’s executive branch assumes this will be done through self-attestation, though there is no clear guidance.
