Orange County, California met the qualifications needed to be classified in the orange tier today, after maintaining three weeks in the red tier and dipping down to 2.8 daily new COVID cases per 100k, according to weekly data from covid19.ca.gov.

The orange tier guidelines allow for restaurants to open with 50% capacity, or 200 individuals if fewer, and also retail stores no longer need to limit their visitors. Naturally distanced, indoor activities are now safe with modifications. Masks and social distancing are still encouraged. More details about the orange tier can be found through California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy.
